Sazerac

A Quebec twist on a New Orleans classic!

• 2oz Whisky (we used Cirka #3)
• 1/2oz & 5 sprays Absinth (we used La Courailleuse)
• 1 brown sugar cube
• 5 dashes Sombre et Amer Livia bitters
• 1 orange zest

• In an Old Fashioned glass, add 1/2oz absinth, ice and a little bit of water. 
• Add 1/2oz whisky, orange zest and sugar cube to a mixing glass and muddle until the sugar has dissolved;
• Add the remaining 1 1/2oz whisky to the mixing glass and stir with a bar spoon until ice has slightly melted;
• After discarding its content, strain into the now empty Old Fashioned glass;
• Add 5 sprays of absinth. Enjoy!
