Entreprises Jesemi inc., which operates Alambika ("Alambika", "we"), takes the protection of your personal information seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, why, how we protect it and what your rights are, in accordance with Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector.

Information we collect
- Identity and contact details: first and last name, shipping and billing address, email address, phone number.
- Orders: products purchased, purchase history, communications with our team.
- Payment: payments are processed by our payment service providers. We do not store credit card numbers.
- Browsing: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, through cookies and similar technologies, according to your choices.
Why we collect it
- To process and deliver your orders, and handle returns and customer service.
- To manage your customer account.
- To send you our newsletter and offers, if you have consented. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To improve our website and measure its traffic, if you have accepted the related cookies.
- To prevent fraud and meet our legal obligations.
We collect only the information needed for these purposes and do not use it for other purposes without your consent, except as permitted by law.
Cookies and tracking technologies
Our website uses cookies that are necessary for it to work (cart, login, security). Cookies used for audience measurement, personalization or advertising, including those that can identify, locate or profile you, are turned off by default. They are only turned on if you accept them in the cookie banner. You can change your choices at any time using the "Manage cookies" link at the bottom of every page.
Sharing with third parties
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the providers that help us run the store, and only to the extent necessary: our e-commerce platform (Shopify), our payment providers, our carriers, and our newsletter and analytics tools. These providers are required to protect your information.
Transfers outside Québec
Some of these providers, including Shopify, store or process information outside Québec, including elsewhere in Canada and in the United States. Before any such transfer, we assess that the information will receive adequate protection.
Retention
We keep your information for as long as needed for the purposes for which it was collected and to meet our legal obligations, including tax obligations. It is then securely destroyed or anonymized.
Security
We protect your information with reasonable measures: encrypted communications (SSL), access limited to authorized people, passwords and backups. Our team members are required to keep it confidential. In the event of a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious injury, we will notify you and the Commission d'accès à l'information, as required by law.
Your rights
At any time, you can:
- request access to the personal information we hold about you and obtain a copy;
- have it corrected if it is inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous;
- withdraw your consent to its use, for example for the newsletter;
- request that we stop disseminating it or de-index a hyperlink attached to your name, where the law allows.
To exercise these rights, write to the person in charge named above. We will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
